The light is stylish, elegant, and looks nice once assembled. The parts seem to be well made with attention to detail and workmanship. Some modifications may help with installation if the manufacturer pays attention, for DIYers, these are also tips for flawless installation. There is a manual or instruction for assembly, however, it may not be helping more than confusing you. The parts can be easily figured out by inspecting them.The body of the light should be assembled first. The enlarged pipe connector should be installed to the body box first. This pipe, once solidly installed on the body box (see the picture), it serves as the guide for the alignment of the five arms. It's best to pull all the packed wires in the body box out to get room for installation of the nuts and washers to the arms. The manufacturer should somehow have a notch or aligning marks to help align the arms to be perpendicularly oriented. Some users complained, apparently because of misalignment. If the large pipe connector is not installed first, it's hard to fix the arms into the right position and orientation.Once the body is assembled, the next task should be the base. The base matters for these customers who have vaulted ceiling where the base is going to be installed not on a leveled surface. The base connector is where the angle is made and it can only rotate in one direction. For flat ceiling it does not matter. But for vaulted ceiling, it's very important to make the angle adjustment perpendicular (90 degree) to the two fix screw caps. Then you can mount the mounting plate to the light box with the anchoring screws on the horizontal plane, so that the angle adjustment will be exactly aligned with the slope of the ceiling, make it natural and easy to adjust for a straight down orientation of the connection rods.There are four connection rods, 1 female to female at 6", 1 male to female at 6", and 2 male to female at 12". It really does not matter how you connect them, but one rule must be observed. The female to female rod at 6" MUST be used and the other rods are all optional and can configure to whatever length their combinations allow. The body is about 16" and the base is about 3". So together the overall minimum length is about 25". If you use all the rods, it extends to 55". Other possible lengths might be 49", 43", 37", 31".The light base is G9 and the hole of the globe only allows small bulbs with G9 base to be installed. And of course you have to install the bulbs to see any light. The bulbs should be installed after the base and body is mounted. Of course for testing purpose, it might be advisable to install bulbs temporarily into one or more of the bases when connecting the wires. To install the wires, it might be necessary to have hooks or stands to hold the body at final position temporarily. The globes and their decorative bases should be installed last.The light is very elegant and modern. The price is reasonable.
