Installing it is definitely a process. It takes some ingenuity to thread the wires through the polls. But the light looks so great and was worth it. Do yourself a favor and install a ceiling medallion as well. It takes the look up a notch.One of the lampshades had a scratch, so I ended up returning the light. There were a few other issues that made this fixture not worth the price that I thought I should mention -1. The printed the company name on the ceiling plate, so that is visible when hung.2. The instructions are worthless. They don’t explain how to put the light together.3. The interior sockets that hold the bulbs are plastic and look cheap.4. The ball detail on the center of the ceiling plate is silver and should be black. It doesn’t match the rest of the fixture with the gold details.Overall, the light would still look good if you want this style, but should not be priced higher than $200. It was nice that they included the three bulbs that fit the fixture, but they are not dimmable. Ultimately, I decided it was worth it to pay the extra $180 and purchase a more expensive version of this light. Let’s hope it’s designed better!I had high hopes for this lamp. I’ve been seeing it all over the design instagrams I follow and was excited to find an affordable version. It was difficult for our handyman to install and one of the arms is not completely straight. I’ll say be mindful that it’s very big! We have decent ceiling height and our living room is 12x12, and the lamp just feels enormous. I would opt for a shorter, smaller version if you’re installing in a living room. I think it would be fine in a dining room, or room with higher ceilings.Bought this a few days ago. Very nice fixture;looks good. The instructions were limited as is mentioned in the other comments. However, I hired an electrician to install this and he had no problems. Recommending that you do the same if you purchase this. The length of the arms is as listed and the fixture is very lightweight.Unlike most chandeliers that come pre-wired together so that you only need to hook them up to existing hot, neutral, and ground wires, this felt more like a DIY job. You have to put the entire lamp together, which makes sense because it's huge. I bought this lamp because I have a large living room and I wanted something big enough to make a statement as well as something that would spread light throughout the room. This lamp gives you flexibility with positioning the arms and placing light where you want it.The design of the lampshades function like a reflector. All of the light will be placed downward in a puddle, so don't buy this lamp for ambient lighting. Instead, use it for task lighting or to add drama to a space that already has ambient light.Long shipping time. When it finally arrived, it was very challenging to poke the wires through all the poles, seems like this should've already been done in the factory. Had to borrow fiberglass pull rods from an electrician to connect everything properly. Hoisting it onto the ceiling was another challenge, definitely a 2 job. Lastly the details were bothersome: some of the metal accents are silver and others are gold. For a fixture at this price point I was expecting more design sense. Ended up returning.The first shipment came in a crushed box and the lamp was damaged and scratched. Also, mysteriously a child had drawn all over the inside of the box with crayon. We immediately sent it back.Another one was delivered in better condition but the instructions are essentially worthless. You will receive a puzzle that even if you have electrical experience you will find it challenging to put together. The hardware is borderline useless and there are items that are included with zero explanation. A white glove (?) and a plastic spacer that we had to figure out on our own how to use.The lamp is very attractive but I will be surprised if it lasts very long without falling apart.Love this fixture so much! The only thing I don’t like is the glare in my eyes from the clear glass light bulbs that come with it.
