We had been looking for Danish mid-century modern style chairs for a while. Never thought to check Amazon. Lexmod have a nice selection of MCM designs (check out their wishbone chairs too). These chairs are offered by a few retailers, although it's impossible to compare the quality from an online photo and description. In our opinion, the descriptions should be more comprehensive in order to make comparison shopping easier. All appear to be made in China, so that doesn't help. We based our final decision on the weight, hypothesizing that the heavier chairs would be of higher quality.We received the chairs less than a week after ordering (thank you Amazon Prime!). They came in individual boxes and were heavily wrapped. The chairs are absolutely beautiful; made of heavy wood, they appear very sturdy (although we've had them for only a week, it looks like they'll stand up in the long run). They actually look much nicer than in the picture. We love the clean lines: very pleasing to the eye, they blend in well with our decor. The oak color is very nice. I don't think you could get much better quality for the price--our MCM dining room set is teak, but also about double the price. Overall, we love these chairs. Bought two "Presidential Election" chairs and two [LexMod Hans Wegner Style Elbow Dining Side Chairs]. They complement each other nicely. The only caveat is that the side chairs don't offer much in terms of back support, so they can be somewhat uncomfortable for those who need the support. Highly recommended.Pros: Beautiful, solid wood construction, look exactly as pictured (actually nicer in person), great chairs for the price, classic Hans Wegner MCM design without the classic Hans Wegner MCM price tag.Cons: None yet, untested over the long haul but look like they'll hold up well, time will tell but I don't expect to be updating the review 20 years from now, made in China (not sure that this is a con, but would have preferred a Danish, Thai, or American manufacturer).
