The Farmhouse style chandeliers with open frames and exposed bulbs or bulbs with individual clear globes are very popular right now, and we have been in the process of upgrading all of our older more dated looking fixtures to the newer designs. An updated more modern looking light can really make a meaningful impact in your living space. This fixture is very interesting looking with it's square shaped globes and framed lines on the globes.The fixture does require assembly out of the box. The assembly is rather simple and the instructions are clear. Not only does the fixture itself need to be assembled but the individual globes also require assembly. There are 6 globes included; 5 needed for the lamp itself and a spare in case of an unfortunate incident.The included mounting bracket is a universal fit so there is no concern as to whether or not the fixture will be pointing the right direction or not. However, there were some issues with the mounting bracket that forced me to knock a star off of my final review. First of all the screws that point downwards to mount the fixture base to were too short. My mounting box is slightly recessed in the ceiling beyond the drywall rather than sitting flush. As such, when the bracket is properly tightened the screws are simply not long enough. Because of this I had to go to the hardware store and buy a couple of M4 screws that were a bit longer which then led to my next problem. When mounting the bracket to the electrical box, there wasn't enough clearance to raise the mounting screws up and into the box so that the mount can sit flush on the ceiling. The heads of the screws bump a second set of screw mounts within the box and as such there is a slight gap between the fixture base and the drywall. Had the mounting screws been inset just a hair more this problem would have been averted. As it stands, you really have to look to see that the base isn't touching the ceiling, but I am a perfectionist. It also helps that we have 10ft ceilings.Aside from the issues with the mounting bracket, this chandelier would get 5 stars based on looks. I really like that the globes are unique and I also prefer the rods that go all the way to the ceiling as opposed to partial rods and hanging chains, or just chains. The fixture itself is phenomenal. The issues with the electrical box may not apply to you. If our box were installed 90 degrees to the right none of these issues would have applied to me. That said, be aware of the possibility that they could ruin your installation experience as well.
