So I’m fairly torn on this light. At the end of the day, I do absolutely love it. However, to make it work for my space required several modifications on my part which were kind of a pain. Firstly, I have slanted ceilings, so I had to purchase a separate adapter so the light would hang correctly. Second, the rod was laughably short so I also had to purchase a completely new set of downrods so it would hang closer to my dining table. Third, my light fixture came completely disassembled, so I had to go out and buy some wire nuts so I could attach the wires from the light sockets to the main wires in the down rod. I have installed lights before so it was too difficult, but if this is your first fixture install or you are looking for a ready to go out of the box light, this one is not it.Like I said, at the end of the day I love the way it looks, especially for the price, but be prepared to do some work on it when you get it.I really wanted to like this light. It was perfect for the kitchen niche and a great price. We've installed many many fixtures before. This one came completely disassembled and the instructions were just sad. For example, it said brown and blue wires, but the wires are white and black... Now we knew what it meant, someone may not. Also, you have to twist and jam 7 wires into a tiny wire cap that they provide - we had bigger ones. We have so far spent about 5 hours messing with this thing. Very careful to twist the wires just so into the cap, and every time a different section won't light. Split into multiple caps (with a common wire) - same thing. It's different section each time, so we know it CAN work, it just WON'T all at the same time.We will try one more time - if all lights don't work, it's getting packed up and returned.This is a really nice chandelier however, I completely underestimated the length of the down rod. I have a 15’ H ceiling and with the extension the light doesn’t drop down far enough to be effective. If it came with a longer extension I would love it.Sexy and swanky! We installed ours on a dimmer over our shuffleboard in the game room area. The metal is a great weight, the gold is even as well.A really cool light that is pretty easy to install. Took a bit of time to get all the wires together and they should have included 2 larger caps, luckily I had the larger ones.I do agree with one reviewer, it would have been nice to have one additional rod if you wanted it longer...but it works for me!
