It’s beautiful, and I’m happy I have it, but it was a difficult installation. The crystals are on bow tie connectors - you bend one side around the crystal and the have to get the second side around the slot in the base. We found that's pre-bending a hook and then getting it in the base before pinching it down worked best. It was not easy. I wish they had their pressure style hooks for this chandelier (I bought two different kinds for different areas, and the other kind was so much easier)The other difficult part was getting it leveled. We had it leveled, we thought, and added all the crystals. It wasn’t level, and the chandelier is really heavy with all the crystals on - not an easy task.Overall, I think it took us about 5 hours to install. Most of that was fiddling with the base and hanging the crystalsMy wife and I hung this light in our bathroom as part of a total remodel to completely transform the space. It is gorgeous and we both love it. No complaints with the product. We went with a daylight/bright white light bulb but looking back I wish I had gotten the soft white bulbs, but this is 100% my own personal preference - my wife is happy with the bright white bulbs. Great value!May have to repair one of the light sockets had to be repaired by my electrician. This is an EXTREMELY beautiful piece. However, when ordering you can expect to receive damaged crystals and/or missing strings that the crystals hang on. Although the seller is very responsive and wants to help, he is located in HONG KONG and somewhat slow in getting replacement pieces sent out, unless of course you get it directly from Amazon. My suggestion is to order two, take out what you need if anything, and then send one back for a full refund. I sent mine back directly to Amazon as the seller (SST Ltd) has orders fulfilled by Amazon as well. My other concern is how the crystal balls are wrapped. I believe the seller tries to do a good job, but more often than not, strings become tangled and you have to work out the knots. This is very tedious and time consuming. My suggestion to the seller to solve this issue would be to fold the strings in halves or quarters, then roll up. This would eliminate the strings getting tangled and have already tried this method should we need to remove and box the light back up. Include a diagram and use the same method for all crystal lines. As far as installation, this light will help you work on your patience. I clearly needed to work on mine and although tedious, the end result is well worth it. As they say, "patience is a virtue" or in this case, "patience is extreme satisfaction.I have ordered two different styles and becoming somewhat of an expert, I can make some recommendations on installation.1. Make sure you use 6-8 butterflies when attaching to the ceiling. I saw one review recently where an individual used the plastic anchors supplied with the light(s), then complained when the piece came crashing down. First of all, you need a little bit of common sense to realize that these lights once assembled are somewhat heavy. Butterflies, which would be 1/8 in. X 3 in. should be sufficient. I have included a picture.2. Line up the light on the ceiling where you want it, and mark the holes with a sharpie. This is where you will drill the holes for the butterflies to mount in hollow ceilings.3. Install the the back piece of the light. DO NOT over-tighten the butterfly screws.4. Place cover on and finger tighten the chrome cap nuts. Install the light bulbs. Light bulbs are NOT included with any of these lights. Power on the light fixture to ensure your electrical connections work.5. Install each string, working from the inside out, or from the middle to left and right. Diagram explains it sufficiently enough, but you MUST pay attention and perhaps read it several times.6. Check your work as you go along by comparing the installation diagram to your work, and also by checking installed strings and un-installed string locations. If you do this often enough, you will locate an error sooner than later if you made a mistake.7. Once all the strings are installed, GENTLY and I mean GENTLY, remove the protective film from the chrome fixture. The reason you do this as the very last step is to prevent any smudges or fingerprints. On one light I installed, these smudges were not prevented when using the supplied cloth gloves. I had removed the protective film prior to installing the strings. Therefore, I figured I would do another tedious job and do it this way as it is very hard to clean once all the strings are installed. That's it. Good luck and its truly a good looking piece once installed. I have had SO MANY compliments with friends wanting to purchase one as well. It’s not easy to install, but it’s a beautiful chandelierI love everything about these lights. Yes.... I bought two. And am very glad that I did. There is no picture(s) that would do these justice, as they are SO beautiful! They add just the right degree of class, and you could pretty much add them to any room, and have them dress it up. I'm extremely happy with this purchase. They give great lighting as well. I got the daylight bulbs to go with them. This seller was also selling them for about half the price as others, for exactly the same thing. I'd definitely buy from them again. They're very elegant, and yet simple to add to any room. Buy it! You will not be disappointed! They're different than any other light I've bought, thus far, for our remodel. The crystals also throw off a pretty pattern on the wall, which I love as well. I put them in the dining room and kitchen, and am very pleased with the results.Gorgeous chandelier and love the look, simple clean design. It's pretty easy to install, just time consuming. There were some crystals had chip and bubbles on them. Contacted the sellers, ask for replacement.NO problem!!. It just took a while, the replacement parts came directly from china.I gave an overall rating of 5, because of their great customer service.!!The chandelier looks very nice once the installation is completed, but the installation does take a couple of hours from properly mounting the top plate to the ceiling to hanging the crystal balls. Not technically challenging, just time consuming and requires patience. The one thing I need to point out (which is the only annoying part I experienced during the whole installation) is the protective film used to cover/protect the top chrome plate - I have purchased enough products that requiring a protective film (from scratch etc) on similar surface for the same purpose, never once the film was so difficult to peel off which caused to leave a lot small pieces still sticking on it to clean up, but also leaving so much glue residue that’s very hard to clear off. That is the most frustrating part - time wasted on that unnecessary. I hope the manufacture could look into replacing that protective film to a kind that’s easier to peel off and leave less glue residue. This protective film was the reason I am giving 4 stars. But other than that, this is an absolutely gorgeous chandelier with a good price.I encourage you not to look at the provided images for a size relation to say a table or chair etc. Look carefully at the measurements and get out a tape measure to see the exact dimensions. It's a reasonably well made product, not best quality for sure but not bad. The pictures make it look bigger than it really is. I also found that if you use the suggested bulbs it's a bit on the dim side, which is probably "OK" for a dining room but if you need more light or hanging this up high you might find it lacking. There is a lot of value in the product and we are very happy with appearance. Also the subsequent customer service has been excellent. We did have some problems though. Which almost entirely stem from inadequate instructions on how to fit and adjust the unit to the height required. First off the instructions clearly state that the product should be installed by a qualified electrician. Perhaps a legal cop out if things go wrong. But be warned. Fitting the unit to the ceiling isn't that hard if you know what you're doing. But if you want it level and at the height you want and if you want the unsightly power cord to be discrete, then be prepared for putting in a lot of time. All told I probably took six hours. Amazon kindly sent me a video on how to adjust the wire holders so the cables can be slid up or down through the holders - there's a tiny push pin at the end of them. The power cable can just be moved through the mountings to adjust its exposed length. It can then be aligned tight against one of the cables and so be reasonably discrete. Lastly the sticky white protection film is a devil to remove, or at least the residue is. This should be done before assembling the unit. I didn't and no solvent easily removes it. I tried soapy water, alcohol, wd40... Eventually using alcohol and the supplied gloves I was able to get most of it off. But it's very hard.A couple of the crystals arrived slightly damaged and the supplier was extremely helpful in supplying replacements free of charge and followed up to make sure we got them. There are 140 crystal hangings in the unit and though the packing is good there's some potential for one to be less than perfect. The glass quality is very nice.I don't want this to sound a negative review because we are happy with the final product, the price paid, and the uncommonly good service. But better instructions need to be provided. This chandelier surpassed my expectations. It's extremely beautiful and well made. The amount of glass/crystals on this make it extremely heavy!! So you must install the light fixture first then add all the strings of crystals. BE CAREFUL..I broke 2 strings and chipped a rectangular crystal because whoever put the strings together didn't close the clasp properly and they just flew off..and to make things worse it, they provide ZERO extras with this light in case something like this would happen. All my other similar lights came with extras.Product looks great, takes long time to hang the crystals but it looks great. The instructions show 80 pieces of outside crystals with 4 rectangular crystals but the end pieces only have 3 rectangular crystals. The small metal clamps have to be liked at as not all are properly bent so the crystals will not fall. I had one long crystal fall and break due to this. One extra string of crystals was included so no problem replacing.
