It was a little difficult because my ceiling was so high and the plate to secure was a little heavy.So it had to be like a two person job. But when done, it was all worth it.$199 for a fixture that looks like it costs $1000's we are experienced DIY but it took 6 hours to install 115 crystal balls. Wires were attached so appreciate that because that saved use hours. If you hire a pro to do this it will cost many times the amount of the fixture. Much assembly required but worth it for such a beautiful chandelier!Muy satisfecha con esta compra. Lleno todas mis expectativas. Gets the compliments from everyone who sees it for the first time.A beautiful one so elegant and long but needs high ceiling onlyThe light is beautiful however you will need about 3-4 hours carved out to get it installed. Now bare in mind I have a 18 foot ceiling so I needed to install this on a 14 foot ladder. Each string is individually wrapped in little baggies with numbers marked on them. The big glass jewels that are hanging from the very bottom of the wires are individually disconnected and packed in the box. There are 108 of them total so I can’t say the install is hard, but definitely tedious and requires some patience. Is it worth buying? I think so, it’s very beautiful once assembled. I just thought I would give a more detailed review because most of the reviews I read before buying was just a lot of complaining. I really didn’t know what to expect, so I was a little surprised to see that all the wires were wrapped and the glass jewels are individually on their own that you will need to attach the hooks to them. That’s really the most complicated part.Also when you assemble the light fixture, make sure you pay attention to where the lights are positioned, you will need to follow a certain pattern to line up all the lights to fit the light holes. Definitely wear the gloves, the part that is hanging all the wires is a mirror like metal frame and can easily smudge with your finger.Used it for my stairway and I’m in love! Installing it to the ceiling was a hassle but after we figured it out we installed the rest of the chandelier up with ease. Luckily all the strings were packed in little zip lock bags so they wouldn’t get tangled with one another. Once it was up i started hanging the crystal balls.We have been looking at this chandelier for a while but were on the fence because of the reviews about the difficulty of assembly. I was under the impression that all the wires all came separately and required assembly. Despite this, the looks finally won out and we ordered it.Perhaps the manufacturer finally listened to the reviews but when it arrived, all the wires were pre-attached to the base. Each was wrapped in a small, individually numbered ziplock bag. I wish I had taken pictures :-( There is one #1 (the center wire), then two of each number up to 58 as they spiral up and out from the center. Super easy!All you have to do after hanging the base is to let the baggies dangle from the center. Again each one is numbered. We started from #1 in the center and worked our way outward. Some reviewers have said to hang the crystals last but we found that the wires hang straighter and are less apt to get tangled if we hung the crystals to each wire as we unspooled them. Just remember to work from the inside out so you don't have to reach through wires that you've already hung. No problem!One hint: when you grab each wire to remove it from the ziplock bag, make sure you hold onto it. Otherwise, it will spring out by itself and get tangled up. Instead, remove it from the bag, then grab each side with your thumb and forefinger so it stays coiled. Then, alternately release one side at a time then regrasp (itsy bitsy spider-style) and allow one revolution of the wire to unspool at a time. This will prevent tangling 90% of the time. If it does get crossed, do not pull! This will kink the wire and, while still usable, it will not look as good as if it were straight. Once fully uncoiled, hang the crystal at the end. The weight will keep the wire straight and will prevent tangling with the other wires. No matter what, you'll inevitably bump a wire and it will tangle with an adjacent one but be patient. It's worth it in the end!Uncoiling and hanging is a two person job. One will have to hand the crystals to the other once the wires are straight.So glad the manufacturer has simplified the assembly process! If you were worried about assembly, don't be. At the end of the day, this is a beautiful chandelier. We got compliments on it from day 1!Hope this helps.I bought this since it looks amazing in the pictures. The product is in overall high quality. The crystal balls are heavy and solid, not those cheap plastic ones. I am sure if you install it properly it would look just as good as the product pictures. Unfortunately the base design makes it very hard to install. It is very heavy so you have to install it in on stubs, but the base is quite large and opening holes on the base are arranged in a seemings random distances, so it is impossible to fix it on stubs without some hack on the ceiling, for example to install some solid wood bridges inside of the ceiling which is very hard to do.In summary, it has a good quality build, nice appealing, but bad design and hard to install.i did not rate "ease of assembly" or "easy to install" because i had my electrician install it, so i have no idea.however, i can say that the chandelier looks absolutely fantastic. recently renovated the whole house and a friend's first comment was not about the hardwood flooring nor the oak stairs or the new paint, but basically "wow that chandelier".each of the crystals is HEAVY real glass, and feels great to hold, not cheap flimsy acrylic or anything. if you accidentally drop one of the crystals on your floor while holding it, i am convinced it will dent your floor before it itself breaks. i bought 6500k white led lights and the light shimmers off the crystals like diamonds.you can easily lie to your friends and say you got this chandelier for $800....really happy with the purchase.Advice to anyone purchasing, attach the crystals at the end. Otherwise you will be spending hours trying to untangle it like we did. It also doesn’t come with light bulbs so you have to purchase them separately. For the price though, I am satisfied. It is insanely difficult to install and I am still a bit iffy about how reliable the screws are. Hopefully, this won’t come crashing down on us in a few months..Beautiful ... true worth of money ...I literally got rid of all the floor lamps as it brightens our large living room like daylight..... received it super professionally packaged ! Assembly wasn’t really a hassle if you read other comments... it took me 2 hrs on a ladder to assemble the beads n crystal balls ...***The ONLY DOWN SIDE to this product was that the chrome plate of the light is not completely flat and sturdy. Not only it’s difficult to lock the UG10 bulbs in place but also the plate keeps popping out and along with it a few of the bulbs pop out . Finally my handy man suggested buying longer stem UG10 which I’m awaiting to arrive!
